Following four days of intense competition at the National Sticks Championship in Moncton, NB Resby Coutts and Norm Magnusson (Fort Rouge Stick Curling League) have earned the title of Canadian Champions. Resby and Norm defeated the Beaches from Regina Sask in an extra end to capture the Gold. Undoubtedly, Resby’s reference at the Provincial Sticks to “having rediscovered the competitive spirit of curling” was a key factor in the end result. The MSCA was well represented in Moncton with the hope that this participation level will continue to grow in the years to come.
